My paintings are inspired by the poems of Luke Whitington whose rich deep imagery and use of words transports you to his
world he is a poet who knows history and art and is flavoured by Horace and Brodsky so in turn he invites the reader to participate recording his experiences of a life lived sensuously. I hope my paintings have the same timelessness as Luke's writing and my images evoke memory and place as Mark Conner said Luke is a Poet of luxuriant talent and our mutual friend and my neighbour Paolo Totaro referred to new poems newly minted fresh out of his imagination.
As artists our imaginations are relentless and continuing to strive for engagement with people and to document our lives.
